Enjoy diving on Perhentian Island, Malaysia! Newly established in 2008 and staffed by experienced professionals, our team will ensure you make the most of your stay on the island. From diving, snorkeling and accommodation to Internet and information, we'll be happy to help. We offer a full range of PADI diving courses as well as fun dives. • Fun Dives: For those who already hold a diving qualification, we offer a flexible schedule of up to four daily fun dives. All the sites are within five to twenty minutes speed boat ride from Long Beach, so there's time to pop back for complementary tea, coffee, biscuits and a chat in between. Our dives are always led by experienced guides, who take small groups (up to four people), and who'll prepare and wash equipment for you before and after the dives. We know you'll want to dive for as long as possible, so all our dives last for an hour, unless you get low on air first! Diving the Perhentians is suitable for all levels of ability, from novices looking to improve their skills to experienced divers looking for challenges such as wreck diving, drift diving, deep diving and night diving. Price: - 85 MYR/person • PADI Diving Courses: - Discover Scuba Diving: Try diving with a Discovery Dive. Recommended for those with no previous experience who don't have the time to complete the Open Water Diver course. Your instructor will take you through the basics of scuba diving before taking you to shallow water to practise some skills. And once you're comfortable with these, you'll swim down to explore the reef! The whole experience takes three to four hours. And on completion you'll receive a certificate. - Open Water Diver: Once you've completed the open water course you'll be qualified to dive to a depth of 18 metres. The course can be completed over three to four days and includes classroom work, skills practice in shallow water and four dives. - Adventure Dives: Adventure dives will develop your ability as a diver and qualify you in new areas of diving. We offer: deep diving, wreck diving, night diving, peak performance buoyancy, multilevel and computer diving, naturalist and fish identification. - Advanced Open Water Diver: A step up from Open Water Diver, the Advanced Open Water course involves five adventure dives. These must include deep diving and navigation diving plus three more of your choice (see adventure dives above). The course can be completed in two or three days. - Rescue Diver: Integrating first aid and secondary care training with search and rescue techniques, the Rescue Diver course will prepare you to prevent diving accidents and deal with emergency situations. At the end of the course you will be a more confident and able diver, prepared to give a hand in the unlikely event of an accident. - Divemaster: This is the first PADI professional qualification. As a Divemaster trainee, you'll refine your diving skills and rescue techniques to a professional level and build on your leadership and organisational skills. Certification allows you to assist instructors in teaching PADI courses and work as a professional guide for other fun divers. (6 hours) If you're not into diving, you can still explore the underwater treasures of the Perhentians with our snorkeling trips. Leaving Long Beach everyday between 10.30 and 11.00 your guide, Henry, will take you to four sites around the islands, including Turtle Bay, where we guarantee you'll see a turtle! and Shark Point to look for the resident reef sharks. You can choose to stop for lunch and a rest at either the fisherman's village or a quiet beach on the big island. Then you'll snorkel two more sites before returning to Long Beach between 16.00 and 16.30.
