Day 2: Today we refresh your new knowledge before putting you in control of the kayak to test your skills. As we paddle gently down stream through gentle grade 1 and -2 rapids, there will be plenty of opportunity to hone your balancing and steering skills, all under the watchful guidance of our experienced instructors. At the lunch stop you will learn some basic swift water rescue skills to add to your safety knowledge. Day 3: We paddle down river encountering gentle rapids to gain more experience in the river environment. After lunch we have a focused skills session in the safe environment of a quiet river eddie. Day 4: Time to hit the rapids! Using all your new skills we will run the river’s more challenging rapids, encountering some bigger waves and longer rapid systems.
